Golf Landscapes

Michael G Miller Fine Art offers 19th Century style fine art. In over 30 years of painting, Michael has greatly benefited from the mentorship of Gene Mako, whose father Bartholomew Mako, was a museum-collected 19th Century master artist. Being Gene’s only student for 10 years, Michael was gifted with a great appreciation and affection for the 19th Century genre. Studying the work of W.M. Chase, John Singer Sargent, Granville Redmond, W.R. Leigh, Fantin-Latour, Frederick Church, other Hudson River painters, Santa Fe Western artists, and many more, has given Miller a background in fine art not often taught in today’s art schools.

Miller gravitates to the golf course architecture of designers like Alister MacKenzie, A.W. Tillinghast, H.S. Colt, C.B. Macdonald, Donald Ross, George Thomas, and Seth Raynor. His subject matter for Golf Landscapes include the great holes of Augusta National, Pine Valley Golf Club, the Cypress Point Club, Pebble Beach, Riviera CC, Pinehurst No. 2, and Merion.
